MCT Employment Support Programme
Millwall Community Trust (MCT) offers employment support programmes for unemployed people of all ages and backgrounds, free of charge. We run 12 week traineeships for 16-18 and 19-24 year olds, and also 6 week employment support programme for 19-50+ year olds.
We work closely with partners such as the Youth Offending Services, Catch 22, Bermondsey Big Local Works and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). All our programmes incorporate vital employability skills, whilst targeting sector specific development in the following areas: Retail, Catering & Hospitality, Sports Coaching, Cleaning & Maintenance, Construction and Business Administration.
Qualifications that are studied are Level 1 and Level 2, and we also offer specialist tuition in English and Maths, for all abilities. An integral important element of our programmes is our industry work experience placements, which ensures that participants gain experience in their chosen sector. The placements are often at MCT and Millwall Football Club, and include placements within our front reception, football coaching, and Millwall Football Club Shop, Ticket Office and Events teams. We also offer external placements for some sectors.
