Millwall Community Trust (MCT) has joined the fight with the EFL and Mind charity for mental health this week. As part of the mental health awareness week, MCT wanted to highlight the free daily zoom Yoga session for NHS staff and participants they have been holding - as part of their Hospital Heroes programme. Hospital heroes was set up by MCT to support the NHS frontline workers and families at Kings Hospital and Lewisham Hospital during the impact of COVID 19.

Our mental health is an important aspect of our lives. Hospital staff have had that tested, especially with the pressures the pandemic has put on them in the past year. MCT wanted to provide a way to enable them to refresh and clear their minds using daily Yoga.

Sean Daly, CEO of the Community Trust, said: “We want to give our frontline workers respite opportunities and programmes to support the needs of their families, which may get missed with their workload commitment. The Hospital Heroes initiative has helped us do that through our weekly virtual Yoga sessions for the last 6 months.

We look forward to giving our continued support to the NHS staff and participants at King's College Hospital and Lewisham Hospital.”
