Congratulations to the Millwall Romans, who won their match this past weekend against Stokey FC!

Their 2-1 win has secured them as the champions of the London Unity League (LUL) for the 2020/21 season.
The London Unity League is an amateur football league based in the capital, designed to allow LGBTQI+ friendly clubs to come together and play football.

The Romans have been sitting at the top of the LUL board and have gone from strength to strength. Growing from just 15 players, they have settled in well at Millwall FC and have doubled in players and popularity.
Despite being hit hard by coronavirus, The Romans’ spirits were never dampened. This win is another step towards growing their team and raising awareness about the importance of having an inclusive team.

Sean Daly, CEO of the Community Trust, said: "We're so proud of the Romans and everything they have achieved. They continue to be a positive example for the local community, and MCT looks forward to giving our constant support in any way we can. Congratulations!"
