Millwall hosted another successful Junior Lions tour - however this time with a Halloween twist. With the spooky season upon us, the children enjoyed carving pumpkins and eating seasonal treats, before taking part in a football-themed word search.

Danny McNamara, who was a very special guest, joined the tour via Zoom to answer questions the junior lions have always wanted to ask. From, what his favourite Millwall kit is this season, to if he is attending any Halloween parties, here is a snippet of the Q&A

How many goals have you scored in your football career?

I’ve actually scored two. I haven’t scored any at Millwall yet, but that’s one of my targets. I’ve scored two in my whole career, so it’s not too bad but I need to score a bit more I think for my position.

What does it feel like on the pitch?

It’s very good. When you’re on the pitch obviously with the fans there, it’s so much better. Last season there were no fans, so you didn’t get the full buzz. Now there are fans back it feels really good. Being a Millwall fan, when the fans are screaming at you, going mad, screaming your name, there’s no better feeling.

If you could wear any number what number would you wear?

Any number? Do you know what I think? With my position, I’ve always wanted the number two shirt. I’ve been quite high numbers previous to this season. So to get the number two shirt this season is probably my dream. To wear the number two for Millwall makes it even better, so I’ll say the number two shirt.

What’s your favourite kit?

I’d say probably the white kit. I really like the white kit, but however, we have got a lot of wins in the blue kit, so actually at the moment I’m favouring the blue kit more now.

What’s been your favourite game so far this season?

By far the QPR game, the first game of the season. It was a sell-out in the Millwall end, the atmosphere was absolutely incredible, I’d definitely say the QPR game by far.

Are you going to a Halloween party this year?

I’ve been invited to a Halloween party. My neighbours invited me over to their one, so I think I may go to that one. I don’t know what I’m going to go dressed as yet.

The group then went on to learn about Millwall‘s history as they looked around the museum, and read iconic things that have happened since the establishment of the club.

They then got to experience a visit to the home dressing room where Gary Rowett delivers his team talks before the game, at half-time and following the full-time whistle, as well as sit in the seat of their favourite players. A trip to pitch-side followed, where the youngsters got the chance to take in the surroundings of standing in the midst of a 20,000 seater stadium.
