Millwall Community Trust (MCT) has received a massive thank you from Branches Hostel after generously donating food to the hostel and its residents.

Over the winter holiday, MCT did a number of things to help tackle food poverty in the local community, especially food poverty in childhood. They fed children healthy and nutritious meals throughout the Holiday and Food activity camps, provided boxes full of ingredients for families to cook meals at home, and handed out Christmas hampers containing a full Xmas meal, a tree, and gifts. They went on to donate food to charities, one being Branches Hostel, who showed their appreciation, and said:

"Thank you. From residents, staff and trustees….for thinking about residents’ needs here at Branches Hostel and taking the time to donate to us. This has been such a very challenging year for all of us and it is therefore with immense gratitude that we write to you today, to thank you for your very generous donation. It is so very kind of you to think of our residents in this time of unease. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Keep safe.
- From all here at Branches."

After receiving the kind email, Sean Daly, CEO of the Trust, responded: "We're more than happy to help out the community in any way we can. Branches Hostel are an amazing charity who house homeless individuals and help enable their independence, and we're glad we could support them. We hope that they enjoyed the food received, and we appreciate their gesture."
