Millwall Football Club's sterling work in the community continued throughout the 2021/22 campaign.

With initiatives taking place before, during and after matchdays, The Lions kept the bond with Millwall Community Trust strong across the season, with a selection detailed below.

August - Sensory Packs

The Lions were proud to re-introduce Sensory Packs for the new season – designed to add comfort and security to disabled supporters to perfect their matchday experience.

November - Remembrance Fixture v Derby County

Millwall commemorated its annual Remembrance fixture on 6th November when Derby County visited The Den. A limited edition matchday programme was on sale around the ground, before a pre-match ceremony saw a Bugler play The Last Post among much more. An incredible amount of over £26,000 was raised for the Royal British Legion.

December - Arthur Labinjo-Hughes

The Lions honoured Arthur Labinjo-Hughes against Birmingham City on 4th December, a young Blues fan who tragically lost his life. All four sides of the stadium rose in unison - and play was stopped - to applaud Arthur in the sixth minute as his name and photo appeared on the big screen.

December - Christmas Tree of Remembrance

Millwall's Christmas Tree of Remembrance service took place at The Den on 9th December. Supporters were given the opportunity to write a message on a wooden heart to remember a loved one, which was then hung on The Lions' Christmas tree. The service was led by Fr Owen Beament MBE.

December - Demelza Matchday

In the absence of The Lions' Sky Bet Championship fixture against Preston North End a week before Christmas, the club dedicated a matchday to the outstanding work of Demelza. You can donate HERE.

January - Isla Caton

After the sad loss of the young West Ham United fan, The Lions honoured the life of Isla Caton on the big screen during Millwall's Sky Bet Championship fixture against West Bromwich Albion at The Den.

February - Memorial Day

As Cardiff City visited SE16 on 12th February, Millwall remembered those lost over the previous 12 months on Memorial Day. Names sent into the club appeared on the big screen as well as in the matchday programme.

March - Level Playing Field

Millwall recognised Level Playing Field's Week of Action by wearing warm-up t-shirts prior to the game against Middlesbrough at The Den, as well as dedicating space to the organisation in the matchday programme.

March - Jimmy's Day

The annual Jimmy's Day took place as The Lions welcomed Sheffield United to SE16 in March. With a number of activities taking place on the day, Barry Mizen addressed the crowd before kick-off before Jake Cooper's goal won the three points for Millwall.

April - Paul Jiggins

The life of journalist, Millwall fan and Wall Talk co-presenter Paul Jiggins was honoured prior to the visit of Swansea City as the Paul Jiggins Media Lounge was opened. The squad also wore black armbands for the match.

April - Community Day/Junior Takeover Day

The Sky Bet Championship fixture against Barnsley saw The Lions double up, as the return of Junior Takeover Day was accompanied by Community Day, in which the club celebrated the fine work of Millwall Community Trust.

April - Prostate Cancer UK

The Lions partnered with Prostate Cancer UK once more for the fixture against Hull City on Easter Monday, with bucket collections taking place around the stadium before kick-off.

April - Demelza

For the final home fixture against Peterborough United, Millwall continued to team with Demelza to raise funds. The team wore warm-up t-shirts before the fixture.
