Former Millwall Premier League Kicks participant Femi Akinwande has signed for National League side Stevenage following their relegation from League Two at the end of 2019-20 season. Femi, aged 24, featured in the National League South for both Braintree Town and Billericay Town respectively, scoring 12 times between the two teams. He has previously had spells with Fisher FC, Colchester United, Maldon & Tiptree, East Thurrock United and Concord Rangers. Femi was a regular atendee of our popular Millwall Premier League Kicks programme where he attended sessions held at Redriff Primary School, Bacons College and the MCT Lions Centre. He has also featured in two of the annual Millwall PL Kicks graduations matches, which celebrates the success of former participants of the programme. In other news another former Millwall PL Kicks particpant has cause for celebration after Swindon Town's recent promotion to League One. Diallang Jaiyesimi, who attended a range of Kicks sessions as well as represented the Trust at Kicks tournaments lifted the League Two trophy after spending the season on loan at Swindon. Diallang was on a season long loan from Norwich City. Their success highlights the talent in our local communities which deserves to be celebrated. Well done to both!
