Millwall Community Trust is proud to be supporting Rainbow Laces.

Millwall Community Trust have two LGBTQ+ teams Romans and Pride that play in the London Unity League and were formed as the London Romans in 2006, playing in north London.

Shortly after they were incorporated by Millwall’s Community Trust and moved south of the river last year.

The London Unity League is an amateur football league based in the capital, designed to unite LGBTQI+ footballers and their allies in a competitive yet friendly, sporting environment.

Since Rainbow Laces kicked off in 2013, over a million of you have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity. But this must-win game isn’t over yet.

The vision today is the same as it was at the start; a world where LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and safe to watch and participate in sport and fitness - at all levels.

That’s why the key message this year is: Lace up and make sport safer for all.

Show your commitment to a safer, more inclusive sporting world by wearing your Rainbow Laces and creating safe spaces where everyone can be themselves.

Millwall Community Trust CEO, Sean Daly said: “Rainbow Laces has become such an iconic symbol of inclusion in football and one which we are proud to continue to support and we ensure that we incorporate equality, diversity and inclusion into all that we do.

“We believe that no-one should feel excluded from participating in or enjoying the game we all love or indeed any sport, which is why allyship is so important for providing a positive platform for the change that is still needed to ensure inclusivity for all.”
