Millwall Football Club hosted 'Our Biggest Match' on Monday - an event which brought together delegates from throughout football to discuss anti-discrimination and diversity in the game. The ground-breaking event saw representatives from over 50 EFL clubs, and from The FA, EFL, Kick It Out, Show Racism The Red Card, Fans For Diversity (FSA), the media and more come together and show a collective desire and drive to rid the sport of discrimination of all kinds. Guest speakers included Steve Kavanagh, Kick It Out's Sanjay Bhandari and Troy Townsend, Bob Eastwood from the EFL, Nottingham Forest chairman Nicholas Randall QC and Sam Billett of the Metropolitan Police. Media personnel Paul Jiggins, Anne-Marie Batson, Jim White and Darren Lewis were also in attendance and provided fascinating insights into the way the press reported on such unsavoury incidents and how the media can help clubs and organisations drive discrimination out of the game.
