Prof. Gianluca Sardi will be hosting a presentation on "The importance of a football club to the local community" on 23rd September 2022 at the Lions Centre 6-8pm

Prof. Gianluca Sardi, PhD, graduated in Law at The University of Teramo (Italy) in March 2014, with a final mark of 110/110 cum laude. He won a PhD scholarship in "Processes Law Harmonization between History and System" in the same University and he gave the final dissertation of his PhD thesis in May 2018. Gianluca got the final mark of "excellent". He passed the Bar Exam in Italy and became an Italian Qualified Lawyer in July 2016 (Gianluca was the youngest trainee lawyer who passed the Bar Exam in that session in the district of the Court of Appeal of L'Aquila). 

 Gianluca is a member of the Board of Professors of the Doctoral Course in "International Perspectives in Corporate Governance and Public Administration" of the Faculty of Politics of the University of Teramo. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Public Law, Comparative Public Law, EU Law, Ecclesiastical Law and Legal Philosophy at the London Centre for Interdisciplinary Research. 

 Gianluca is a Visiting Academic at the School of Humanities of the University of Southampton. 

 He is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales and he is a consultant at Slig Law LLP, a law firm based in the Temple, London. 

 Gianluca won international awards and grants, such as the "Meet Italian Scientist" and the "Luciano Russi Award". 

 He is also the member of team, led by the University of Southampton, who won a grant on "Safer Decommissioning of Off-shore structures and Ships", that was funded by Engineering X, a partnership created by the Royal Academy of Engineering and by the Lloyd's Register Foundation.

 Gianluca published academic articles on international journals on the topics of constitutional law, EU Law, human rights, religious freedom, tolerance and cryonics. 

 He has given guest lectures at the American University in Dubai, at the University of Teramo and at the University of Bedfordshire. 

 Gianluca is a member of the Royal British Legion. 

 Since he was a child, Gianluca has supported Teramo (an Italian team playing in the third tier of the Italian football pyramid) and Millwall. 

 In the 2021/22 season, he sponsored the away kit of Tom Bradshaw. 

 Gianluca is also a member of the Millwall Business Club.
