No One Likes Us Talkin Podcast (NOLU Talkin) visited Millwall Community Trust’s free Holiday, Activity and Food (HAF) Programme at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe to find out more about the MCT’s work delivered in the local community during the summer school holidays.

The No One Likes Us Talkin Team and sponsors are all Millwall fans, who not only have pride in communicating with existing supporters but are hopeful of adding to the club's fan base along the way.

Their weekly podcasts are released every Friday morning, with plenty of former Millwall FC players being interviewed and appearing on the show as well as vital topics being covered.

Throughout the day at St Paul’s Sports Ground Jeff Burnige and Myles Thornton from The NOLU Talkin team spoke to MCT Trustee Sir Simon Hughes about how the holiday camps impact the local community in a positive way.

Following on from that, Tim Sells - Millwall Community Trust’s Football and Sports Development Manager - was asked about the different venues the camps were held at and how much the community benefits from the MCT’s work.

Patricio Fenick-Sanchez, Football and Sports Development Officer for Millwall Community Trust spoke through the healthy eating, free hot meals and the well delivered sessions at the camp.

Finally, the NOLU Talkin team interviewed the parents and the children that take part in our HAF camps.

Jeff Burnige, a member of the No one Likes us Talkin Team, said: “I’ve really enjoyed today, we did a similar thing three years ago. The big difference is that these camps are entirely free!

“They get fed, fruit in the morning, hot meal at lunchtime. It’s great seeing the kids running around getting fit, enjoying themselves and the atmosphere is fantastic.

“All credit to the Millwall Community Trust.”

Tim Sells, Millwall Community Trust’s Football and Sports Development Manager added: “Thank you to the No One Likes Us Talkin Team for coming down and highlighting our Holiday, Activity and Food Programmes (HAF).

“We are delighted that you could see the great work being done.”
