"We wanted to bring everyone together, this supported customers journeys into the world of work and provide our partners with a range of customers and experiences to fill their vacancies.

“There was great feedback from exhibitors and customers on the day, it was great to speak with many customers who had an amazing experience and found work and training on the day to meet their needs.”

John Scarborough MCT Education & Employability Manager said of the event: "The event overall was a great success particularly in the community ‘can do’ atmosphere it generates and feedback has been excellent and considering it is now October the attendance was very good.

"I Would like  thank the employer and providers and support staff for all for their efforts in bringing this now key community job fair event for Southwark and Lewisham together and making it so successful.

"In particular seeing the community take centre stage via our celebrating black history and achievement space was excellent, and evidences the importance of these events to not only secure a job but also in doing so to help aspire for a career."
