This Saturday 15th March 2025 Millwall FC Fixture against Stoke City will play host to Millwall’s annual “Community Day” where Millwall Community Trust will showcase the range of programmes that the club offers to the local community.
In the build-up to the game, the Trust will use the Lions Centre and some of the club’s car park, to showcase a small part of their groundbreaking work in the local community.
In the Lions Centre, Millwall Community Trust’s activities will be taking place.
Outside the Cold Blow Lane end, partner organisations of the Trust and club, will have stalls to showcase their work in conjunction with Millwall.
Participants of Millwall Community Trust Programmes will work alongside volunteers from other projects to drive a stadium-wide bucket collection to raise funds for the charity.
The community action will continue on the pitch as the Millwall female players will provide a guard of honour, with community participants being player mascots, and at half time participants and community organisations will be paraded around the pitch..
Sean Daly, Millwall Community Trust CEO said: “It’s been an incredible year for MCT working with 14,500 people and providing 9,500 free meals and sports places for participants on free school schemes.
“We want to build on the success of previous community days, showcasing the great work the Club does in the community, this is also a way to thank all who support the Trust; from players, club staff to fans, partners and the local community.
“We are very proud of the work that the club does in the local community creating opportunities for local residents and ahead of the community day the Trust will launch its annual report, which shows the impact and vary of projects and programmes we are delivering in the local area.
“As a self-financing charity, events such as Community Day are so important in allowing us to continue our work in the local community, so please come and join in the celebrations.
