Millwall Community Trust have received appreciation from Darby Rimmer MND Foundation for the support of The March of The Day 2 event last Saturday.

Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.

The March of The Day 2 event raises money for the Charity.

Great to meet you last weekend. We just wanted to share our thanks for all the support you gave the Foundation in setting up the March of the Day II event and particularly our visit to Millwall FC.

Your club was very welcoming, and your personal support is hugely appreciated. Thank you for arranging for our halfway showers.

This came at a crucial time for us so made a huge difference. So far, we have raised over £160,000 which will be a major help in the battle with MND.

This will be used to support families who face an MND battle and to fund research into a cure.
