“Everything I needed help with for example my CV, the trust helped me with.
“Following this I was the young people’s voice at the Social Mobility Commissioned event put on by the Job Centre Plus at Millwall Community Trust’s Employability & IAG Hub where I was able to explain the barriers to young people getting into employment.
“This was a really useful session because I was able to give young people’s views on what could be better when searching for employment.
“As well as this I was able to photograph the event which gave me further experience.
“I was given the opportunity to attend a Millwall Lionesses fixture where I gained experience at a football match as a pitch-side photographer.
“I am looking forward to continuing to work the trust going forward as I search for full time employment.

“I look forward to continuing to work Kaio and seeing him progress even further.”
John Scarborough, Millwall Community Trust’s Education & Employability Manager said: “Often obtaining the employment role we desire first means getting the experience necessary which can be as hard if not harder than getting employment".
"Being able to provide young people like Kaio task focused work taster experiences means we are able to ensure the taster is both relevant and impactful for each young person providing them unique aspirational opportunities they can gain both experience and confidence from and most importantly evidence needed to secure that employment next step."
"Working and listening to young people in our Employability and IAG Hub it has become increasingly apparent that industry experience is a major factor in their unemployment and also confidence in believing in themselves. Kaio is a prime example of someone who just needed an opportunity to get into the industry so he can evidence his potential.”
