Millwall FC first-team trio Tristan Crama, Thierno Ballo and Derek Mazou-Sacko visited Galleywall Primary School to take part in a Physical Education workshop as part of Premier League Primary Stars.
Premier League Primary Stars is a national initiative that uses the popularity of football and professional clubs like Millwall to inspire children to be active, develop essential life skills, and engage in learning.
The programme is delivered by the Premier League Charitable Fund, which focuses on creating lasting positive impacts in sports, health, and education for children, young people, and their communities.
The session at Galleywall Primary School was led by MCT’s Schools & Girls Project Officer Merle Redhead Ling - with support from the trio for Years 4 & 5.
The focus was on getting children involved in physical education and becoming more physically fit through the power of sport.
Crama, Ballo and Mazou-Sacko took part in a stretching session talking about the importance of warming up and keeping muscles loose.
The session concluded with Year 5 and the trio helping to referee Tag Rugby outside in the playground.
Emily Poole, MCT’s Primary Stars & Schools Co-Ordinator said: "It was an excellent afternoon for the children to have First-Team players Tristan Crama, Thierno Ballo and Derek Mazou-Sacko visit their school and take part in such an important topic.
"It just shows what Millwall Community Trust is all about, helping in the local area, and the players doing this will make such an impact on these children."
