Millwall FC First-Team duo Jake Cooper and Massimo Luongo visited Haberdashers Knights Academy as part of Premier League Inspires.
Millwall Community Trust’s Premier League Inspires programme works with schools across Lewisham and Southwark to give young people an empowering and positive experience.
Each session is designed to encourage students to reflect, set goals, and build the skills they need for the future. Whether it’s developing teamwork, improving confidence, or exploring career pathways, the programme gives every participant the chance to grow both personally and socially.
In attendance with Cooper and Luongo was the PFA’s Ashley Hodson and Bas Savage as well as Ryan Bamsey from Kooth - which is a digital mental health service.
The duo started with a Q&A where students were able to ask questions they’ve always wanted to know the answer to.
Following on from this, the Lions duo joined the panel with Ashley Hodson and Ryan Bamsey.
Students delivered their presentations around mental wellbeing which they had created.
Next term they will be delivering these short workshops in a local Premier League Primary Stars school.
The panel marked each students presentation with every one being brilliantly delivered.
To finish what had been an engaging afternoon students posed for photographs with Cooper and Luongo before getting their autographs.
Eve van’t Hoff, MCT’s Premier League Inspires Officer said: “It was an excellent afternoon for the children to have First-Team players Jake Cooper and Massimo Luongo visit their school and take part in marking their presentations they have worked so hard on!
"It just shows what Millwall Community Trust is all about, helping in the local area, and the players doing this will make such an impact on these children."
