Millwall Community Trust’s Employability Hub attended a Careers Event to support Jumpstart to Success Programme.
Jump Start hosted a 'Meet the Employer' Day which showcased career opportunities as well as courses, training and other self-development routes for young people who are of the vulnerable and lower socioeconomic status.
Over 40 young people benefitted from services.
Jumpstart to Success is a 12-week programme designed to help you grow your confidence, learn new skills, and explore your future.
Whether you want to get a job, go to college, or just figure out what’s next, this is a great place to start!
Funke Elizabeth Oseni, Mentor and Employment Support Officer for Jumpstart to Success said: “Our 12-week programme focuses on invigorating youths to see and step into the best version of themselves. It allows them to see their potential and supports each step along the way.
“Our included ‘Meet the Employer’ event allows for direct communication on live vacancies, industry pathways, essential experience, and skills needed for their desired role.
“They not only include employers but also training/education providers, mental health support services, and other employability services for youths. It’s a well-rounded programme with a passion for reducing unemployment numbers across Lewisham.”
