Millwall first-team duo Kyrell Lisbie and Jordi Osei-Tutu visited Ilderton Primary School to support Millwall Community Trust’s Premier League Primary Stars work around the Premier League’s No Room For Racism initiative.

The players joined pupils for an educational workshop focused on the importance of equality, diversity and tackling racism, taking part in activities designed to encourage discussion and raise awareness of how everyone can play their part in creating an inclusive environment.

Following the workshop, Lisbie and Osei-Tutu answered questions from the participants, sharing their own journeys in football and discussing the importance of challenging racism both on and off the pitch.

The visit provided pupils with the opportunity to hear directly from professional footballers about their experiences, while reinforcing the importance of respect, understanding and standing together against discrimination.

Jamie Murray, Millwall Community Trust’s Premier League Primary Stars Officer, said: “It was fantastic to welcome Kyrell and Jordi to Ilderton Primary School to support our Premier League Primary Stars No Room For Racism work.

“These visits provide a valuable opportunity for pupils to learn about the importance of equality, respect and standing up against racism, while hearing first-hand from players about their own journeys and experiences.

“By engaging in the workshop and asking questions, the children were able to explore how we can all play our part in creating an inclusive environment, both in football and in everyday life.”

The visit forms part of Millwall Community Trust’s ongoing work in schools, using the power of football to engage young people, promote positive values and encourage the next generation to challenge discrimination.
