Millwall Community Trust (MCT) is delighted to announce that professional boxer, Chris Kongo, who has continued to be a positive and active member at MCT has agreed to become an ambassador for the charity.
Sean Daly, MCT CEO, said: “It’s absolutely brilliant to be able to have Chris as an ambassador for the Trust. He is truly a motivational person who the kids at MCT can look up to and learn from, as he himself is local.
Chris has shown his support to MCT by holding boxing sessions at our holiday camp, having Q&A sessions, giving participants tickets to watch him live and more. We’re excited to have him onboard as we continue to bring positive change in the local community.”
Chris Kongo, Ambassador for Millwall Community Trust, said: “When I was young the Millwall community supported me but there weren’t many examples of positivity in my close proximity. A role model.
So now, I want to give back to the same community that I grew up around and shine a light for the kids growing up in the same neighbourhoods I grew up in to have a beacon to look towards. Using my voice, experience, and platform. Hopefully, I, alongside the Millwall community trust could continue to do great works for the locals.”
