Millwall Community Trust hosted a very successful first-ever Captains’ Evening at The Den on Thursday evening.
In front of a sold-out audience in 1885 Club suite, six captains attended to reminisce and discuss their times in SE16.
The former Lions skippers that attended were Les Briley, Alan Dunne, Stuart Nethercott, Paul Robinson, Tony Craig and Alex Pearce.
All six had great stories to tell and plenty of laughs were had between them and the Millwall fans in attendance.
Some great prizes were won in the raffle, whilst the likes of Zian Flemming, Danny McNamara, Jake Cooper and Billy Mitchell’s boots were all up for bid in the auction.
The evening was capped off with fans taking pictures and getting items of memorabilia signed by the six skippers in what was a great evening at The Den.
MCT Chief Executive, Sean Daly said: “It was a great evening at The Den and thank you to the Captains’ for coming and making it such an enjoyable evening.
“Thank you to Max McLellan and the Millwall Media Team for their support leading up to and during the evening.
“Finally, thank you to the fans for turning up in their numbers and we are looking forward to many more events like this.”
