‘An Evening with Roy Larner’ hosted by Jeff Burnige at the Lions Centre in Bolina Road, SE16 on Tuesday 14th March.

Roy Larner is known for his gallantry at London Bridge in confronting three machete-wielding terrorists who murdered and caused mayhem in the area on the night of June 3rd 2017.

The former printer, who was brought up on the Ledbury Estate in Peckham, less than a mile from the club he supported as a man and boy, Millwall led to him being named ‘The Lion of London Bridge’ as he roared ‘xxxx you, I’m Millwall’ at the terrorists. Hear Roy’s story and how today he is still fighting to obtain criminal compensation.

From 5.30 pm. ‘The Lion of London Bridge’ books will be available to purchase and Roy will sign books ahead of the main event at 6.15pm.

The event will finish at 7.15 pm ahead of Millwall’s game against Swansea City and following a rendition of ‘Roy Larner (The Lion of London Bridge)’ written and sung by Arthur Kitchener whose music was inspired by having grown up in South London and the music that influenced him as a singer-songwriter.

Light refreshments and snacks will be available from Harvey’s Den Cafe within the event venue.

Entry can be gained by booking in advance and making a donation on the night to the Harvey Brown MPS Society who support families with MPS and similar disorders that cause a range of progressive disabilities.
