Millwall Community Trust are celebrating the 26th anniversary of World Book Day.

World book day was created to celebrate books, authors, and for young people to enjoy the pleasure of reading. It was established on the 2nd of March in 1995, with the first World book day in the UK & Ireland taking place in 1997.

It has now become a day where children are encouraged to dress as their favourite book characters, they meet some amazing authors, and enjoy the joys of reading.
