Millwall’s Man V Fat 11-aside team are through to the semi-finals of the Man v fat National’s 11’s cup after beating Walsall in the quarter finals.

Millwall drew 1-1 against Walsall in the home leg at St Paul’s a few weeks ago meaning they had to win away to progress.

That wasn’t a problem as Millwall won 4-1 away from home last weekend to make it 5-2 across both legs and secure a place in the next round.

They also played the last thirty minutes with ten men but saw the match out to claim a deserved win.

The first leg of the semi-finals are next week with Millwall hosting West Bromwich Albion in the last four.

Kenny Collins, Man V Fat Lead coach and Millwall Community Trust coach said: “The lads knew it would be a tough game and very physical but the lads dug deep and even after going down to ten men, manager Brad made the changes needed to push on and grab two more goals.

“It showed the Millwall spirit that was missing from the first game because that’s what we do!”

Tim Sells, Football development manager said: “It’s great to support this fantastic programme that really makes a difference within our community.”
