In an exciting development for young football enthusiasts in the Bermondsey/Rotherhithe area, Millwall Community Trust has joined forces with Fisher Youth FC to establish a new U18's football team.

The collaboration aims to provide aspiring players with an outstanding platform to showcase their skills and compete at a high level within the Kent Youth League and hopefully act as a pathway to the first team.

The new U18's team is set to make its mark in the Kent Youth League, a highly regarded competition known for being the highest level of football outside of professional academies.

Aspiring young footballers aged 16 and 17 are invited to seize this golden opportunity by participating in the upcoming trial. The trial is scheduled to take place this Friday from 3 pm to 5 pm at St Paul’s Sports Ground in Rotherhithe. This is an open call for passionate players to showcase their abilities and stake their claim in the formation of the U18's squad.

Tim Sells, Football and Sports Development Manager at Millwall Community Trust, expressed his enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, "We are delighted to be able to announce this new partnership and we are already looking forward to getting started. It presents a great chance for players to excel and improve in what is a challenging and high-quality division. Young players have had limited opportunity to play in this prestigious league and we are delighted to work with such a great club as Fisher FC to make this possible for the talented young players in the borough."

Prospective players are encouraged to attend the trial at St Paul’s Sports Ground, Rotherhithe. On-the-day registration will be available, providing an opportunity to demonstrate your skills and potentially secure a spot in the promising U18's side. This collaboration between Millwall Community Trust and Fisher Youth FC promises to not only nurture young football talent but produce players for the first team in the near future.
