Millwall Lionesses lost 2-0 against Dulwich Hamlet on Sunday afternoon.
The result sees Millwall drop to ninth in the London & South East Regional Women’s League.
Keith Boanas’ side started the better of the two sides and had an early chance when Chloe Burr’s free-kick went just over the bar.
Just nine minutes later, it was another free-kick that presented an opportunity for Millwall but Shannan Drewe’s free-kick couldn’t be turned in by the incoming Emma Whitter.
Dulwich took the lead shortly after when a short backpass was pounced upon to open the scoring.
The hosts doubled their lead five minutes later when a strike from outside the box flew into the corner.
From then, Millwall tried to get back into the game, but it wouldn’t be until the 80th minute that they would have a chance of note - Chloe Burr forcing a save out of the Hamlet 'keeper.
Dulwich Hamlet held on for three points and Millwall will be looking to bounce back next Sunday as they take on Fulham (kick-off 2.30pm).
