Millwall Community Trust are delighted to have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Iese.

Iese were created by local authorities as a shared resource for the sector and have a successful track record of delivering transformation and service improvement programmes in the UK. By doing so, they have delivered more than £1bn of savings for their clients.

Millwall Community Trust have been given this award alongside Sevenoaks District Council and Partners Right Mind, The Layberry Foundation, House in the Basement and Bridges - Youth Mentoring Project.

The award recognises organisations that have marked significant innovations in transforming local public services.

Mason Marsh, a former mentee at Millwall Community said: “I really enjoyed my time at Millwall Community Trust, we had some unbelievable trips for example when we visited Wembley Stadium. It also helped me when I talked to my mentor John about the CSCS card.

“I absolutely loved it, it was great interacting with John and I still phone him nowadays when I need help.”

John Scarborough Millwall Community Trust Education and Employability Manager said: “Mason is an excellent example of importance of staying positive and learning from the challenges faced. Mason is extremely well known and like at Millwall and everyone at the trust and is interactions at the club now know him and have seen his positive journey. 

"The award achieved is because of young people like Mason stepping out of their comfort zone and taking the opportunities presented and is now becoming and seeing himself as a role model for his peers."

Sean Daly, Millwall Community Trust CEO said: “We are delighted get recognition from Iese for our outstanding work across our local community.

"It shows what important work a football club can do in its local area, and we will continue to do this."
